We were blessed with the opportunity to be featured in WNC Woman’s Magazine in Asheville, NC. Rachael Johns wrote an amazing article.
Check out an excerpt from the article:
Ms. Cowan describes how her vision grew. “Our mission has evolved – we see ourselves as a loving community, but there are still a lot of pockets of places where people are very alone and our mission is to try to change that. What we want to do is to work on helping develop a community where people are reaching out to each other, where family is valued and goes beyond biological family. “We work well with children that have previous challenges with the law. We work well with children that have low IQs as well as a mental illness diagnosis – we take kids that have bi-polar disorder and Asperger syndrome – folks with dual diagnoses.”
