Family Support
If you are parenting a child with a mental illness we want you to know, you’re not alone.
The Brandi Nichole Family Enrichment Center can support your family by:
- Providing you and your child temporary respite
- Supporting you in your commitment to loving and caring for your child
- Helping your child gain the life skills they need to thrive in society through collaboration with a foster parent
Respite Care
Respite care offers a short period of care for children who still live at home with their biological families or foster parents. Living with and raising children with a mental illnesses can put a great deal of strain on both your family and your child. Respite care offers all members the time necessary to rest, rejuvenate, and engage in self-care practices.
Therapeutic Foster Care
Some families with children who have mental illness need a bit more than respite care. Therapeutic foster care is goal oriented care for families who are committed to their child, but feel that some time away is needed to regain harmony in the home. Our foster parents are trained to work in collaboration with you to help your child learn to cope with their mental illness. If this sounds like the support your family needs, contact us today. Your family matters and we are here to support you every step of the way.
