Interlude is a five-bed home that provides respite care for families who have a child with a mental illness. This type of care allows families and children in our community a short time to rest and relax before reuniting. Our children can come from their biological family, a foster family, or the Department of Social services; but priority placement to interlude is given to children who are in the care of DSS while a more permanent home is found for them. We give children a home with the structure they need to feel safe and loved while also being able to rest their bodies and minds. Through Interlude we want to help families reunite prepared for success with a firm foundation for their future.
